Our Pastor, Justin Gatlin
On December 10, 2017, Alvin Missionary Baptist Church called me to be their pastor. We followed God’s leading back to this wonderful church of loving, God- honoring people. I am so honored to return to AMBC where I was raised, saved, baptized and surrendered to preach. In 2011, I was asked to be the youth pastor of our sister church, Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Richwood, Texas. Unity MBC called me to be their pastor in 2014.
My wife, Colleen, and I were married in May of 2015 and were blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Anastasia (Greek for Resurrection) on November 4, 2016. Our son Samuel was born September 24, 2019, and our second son, Josiah, was born on June 19, 2021 (my birthday!). I have my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from University of Houston-Clear Lake and have taken many seminary classes at Heritage Baptist Institute. I hold an MA in Theology from Liberty University.
As the seventh pastor of Alvin Missionary Baptist Church, I have the privilege of building on the work of the great men who have gone before me. I trust that God will continue to strengthen His church here. “[Paul] planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.”
